How to Cook provides simple, educational cooking classes, suitable for all age groups.
Delivered by the vibrant Steph Harrison, the classes are easy to understand and can be set up in any location which has power and water. Food preparation and cooking skills are taught in a fun and friendly way, with all equipment and ingredients provided.
Steph is an experienced and fully qualified teacher. Her passion for teaching folks of all ages how to cook properly in an age where these vital skills seem to be fast fading from memory, has led her to start her business, How to Cook.
How To Cook aims to teach cooking skills which will last a lifetime, instil good practice in food preparation, healthy eating and a thorough enjoyment of cooking fresh food and eating it!
Relax and enjoy cooking and eating some old favourite meals and learn some new, nourishing snack and dessert recipes. This informative class will gently guide you through, step by step, in a relaxed atmosphere with plenty of fun along the way.
Learn cook with confidence – Learn all the basics, from scratch. No need to know anything at all about preparing food 🙂
Exciting times are ahead! Learn how to plan, budget, shop and cook on a student’s income. If you need a crash course on how to cook for yourself when you leave home, then this exciting, hands-on class will provide the essential survival kit needed to cope on your own!
Enjoy cooking a 2 course meal with friends in Steph’s kitchen or at your home. Fun for children, teenagers and adults of all ages. Parties are individually planned to suit ages and abilities. Take home bags include recipes and hat. Contact me to arrange a personal party.
Fetes, fairs, charity events, indoors and outdoors, feel free to contact me to support an event by running a stall. I create a pop-up work kitchen and carry out demonstrations and cooking activities. Contact me to arrange a bespoke session.
If you need to learn a new skill as part of your DOE course then cooking skills is perfect. You learn lots of new skills by cooking two dishes per class for 6 weeks culminating in cooking a 3 course meal. Photos are taken at each and sent to you to be used as evidence.

Steph’s classes have provided our children in year 6 valuable cooking skills, together with a good understanding of healthy eating habits. The children have thoroughly enjoyed the sessions.
